Quest Empowerment Foundation, was established to render social service and Community Development in Ghana. Besides their flagship community programs the foundation also considers assistance requests from Rural Communities in Ghana

Objectives

To support the Department of Social Welfare’s efforts to achieve its objective of providing the family based care system. QUEST EMPOWERMENT FOUNDATION goes deep into the community, anywhere in Ghana to find its place, to provide social care support and to stimulate community sector participation targeted at renewing the mind-set of the people of the community to gear towards self-sustainable development.

Programs

Free After School Club

The Foundation sets up free after school clubs in selected rural communities to mentor and impart ICT lessons to the people of the community and surrounding areas.

Rural Communities that the Foundation provide support are selected by sponsors of the program.

FREE ICT TRAINING

The Sponsor/Donor would identify the community that is in need of the Foundation’s service.

The Sponsor/Donor would instruct Quest Empowerment Foundation to go into that community to provide free ICT training.

The Sponsor/Donor would provide the resources needed for the training mainly the hardware resource.

The Foundation would provide the technical and human resources and all learning materials required.

Training is very comprehensive and lasts for a period of six(6) weeks. 1.5hrs/day x 3 times/week x 6 weeks.

Training is organised as an after school club, so it does not conflict with normal school activities.

Target Audience

This Social Intervention Program is predominantly targeted at the youth and adult participants who are unable to further their education and who are idle, but it is also opened to all who are interested including current students.

*The Foundation would mentor, coach, motivate and skill participants with ICT necessary to place them into work or further their education.

*It the Foundation’s objective that hardware resources used for the training is donated to the community schools after the end of the program, therefore equipping the community schools as the Foundation goes along with the training.
